CASPER will…“enhance crisis management, interoperability, and standardisation initiatives for the purposes of increasing CBRNe and C4i disaster resilience across Europe”.
To achieve its master aim and mission statement, CASPER (Command Assessment & Standardisation Planning for European Resilience) has four foundational objectives:
- CASPER will…critically evaluate the current and future levels of interoperability within Command, Control and Communications, Computing, and Information (C4i) systems across four selected European locations (Germany, Greece, Czech Republic and United Kingdom).
- CASPER will…critically compare current and future CBRNe equipment, tools, and systems interoperability between (domestic and transnational) stakeholders in terms of operational, procedural, technical and semantic disaster resilience within four European locations (Germany, Greece, Czech Republic and United Kingdom).
- CASPER will…develop a CBRNe and C4i interoperability standardisation road map, impact, and feasibility assessment for ISO TC 292 (formerly TC 223) and CEN 391 committees.
- CASPER will…critically evaluate exiting CBRNe and C4i projects and improve the degrees of coordination activities, sector cross fertilisation, and dissemination of disaster resilience/ crisis management capabilities by sampling data from Germany, Greece, Czech Republic and United Kingdom.
